Methodology

Every number on this site is written by code from a recorded results file. This page will hold the exact definitions, so that a reader can reproduce any figure: return conventions (pre-tax NAV, after-tax liquidation value with lot-level tax ledgers at stated bracket pairs), drawdown (peak to trough on daily NAV), Ulcer Index and Ulcer Performance Index, Sortino (conventional target semideviation), Sharpe, rolling-window conventions, transaction costs, execution timing, data snapshots and the mutual-fund backfill standard.

Draft. The definitions are being carried over from the research repository’s metrics module; until then, each model page states the basis of every table.
